Moths at Mapperton

On our morning walk we will look at the variety of habitats that make Mapperton so rich for moths – over 360 species have been identified already this year through surveys undertaken and completed at Mapperton. We will examine the species caught in moth traps set the night before and release them unharmed. Moths come in different shapes, colours and sizes and every moth-trapping session has an exciting element of unpredictability and surprise
